Canadian Award-Winning Resilience Program for Youth

Peer-led mental health workshops, educator certifications and evidence-based curriculum designed alongside youth voices and experts.

Youth mental health is declining. It’s time to turn this around.

Many students are struggling quietly while teachers try to respond with limited access to programs that truly connect with their students.

The reality is this: life as a teen today is dramatically different than it was even just a decade ago, and the way we support youth must evolve too.

Resilient Youth was created to change that.
It was built, not just for youth, but with youth.

One Mission. Two Ways We Create Impact.

We help youth build resilience while also equipping educators with the tools to support them. With schools across Canada we work to deliver practical mental health education that feels honest, relatable and relevant to today’s youth.

When Sophia came into my school for a Resilient Youth peer-lead presentation, she shared her story at my school, and students responded positively, deeply resonating with her. Sophia's blend of vulnerability, strength, and her ability to connect with the audience, combined with her storytelling skills and professionalism, make her a must-see speaker for anyone who has experienced trauma.

My professional development over the past 25 years usually involved interactions with other adults, in-depth research studies, or engaging with experts in their field of study. I could not have been more genuinely surprised and grateful to hear Sophia speak. She demonstrated remarkable poise, professionalism, and genuine care through her lived experiences. Her heartfelt and in-depth knowledge strengthened my beliefs on the importance of student voice. Please! Do yourself a favor, and listen to Sophia speak if you get the opportunity. She will help you understand the impact trauma can have on our youth, but more importantly take you on a journey of how trauma can be successfully navigated through mindfulness

I had the pleasure of hosting Sophia as a guest speaker to present a Resilient Youth workshop in my second-year B.Ed class, 'Social and Emotional Learning' at Mount Saint Vincent University. As a young adolescent, she spoke authentically and honestly about the critical role teachers play in understanding the social and emotional needs of their students. Her presentation captivated my education students, who were not only thoroughly engaged but also left with valuable insights. Sophia's passion and unique perspective, even as a young teenager, add a compelling and influential voice to the conversation on social and emotional learning.

From going through difficult things in the past, I love seeing people come in, open up, share their experiences, and help others.

One of my friends passed away really suddenly from stage 4 brain cancer, and even though it’s been around two years, it’s still hard to think about. This presentation really helped me learn how to cope with that and even deal with school struggles. 🙂

I thought this presentation was great. It helped me think about things I had either pushed down or never thought about before, and I really enjoyed it.
